There is excitement, learning and relationship every Sunday morning in the Children's Ministry at Highland Oaks. We recognize that God has entrusted us with the ministry and safety of children while they are in the Kids Wing. We want every environment a child is in to be the safest it can possibly be, so that they may have the opportunity to grow in their knowledge and love of God. While in our care, your child will be led only by approved volunteers. Every class and function in our Children's ministry are supervised by multiple volunteers who have gone through a process that includes an application, background check and safety training.

Nursery

(12 - 35 months)

Our desire in the nursery is simple: to give babies and toddlers a first impression of their loving God. We want our children to feel loved and safe while learning about God and Jesus and the wonderful world God created for us. We help master the concept through songs and creative, hands-on activities. We encourage children to talk to God any time, any place.

Preschool 

(3 yrs to Kinder)

Our curriculum is designed for little ones so that they can learn to love God in the ways they learn best. We incorporate repetition, games, crafts and songs and interactive story times. Each month is a Bible story theme so they can experience the stories several weeks in a row. Themes include: Creation, Noah, David and Goliath, and many others.

Elementary 

(1st-5th)

At this important stage in their lives, children can have an active and living faith. Each week, we explore Bible lessons together, explaining the truth of God’s Word in ways that kids relate to and discuss how it applies to our lives. We utilize learning methods geared to each child’s learning style, with an emphasis on building relationships that facilitate spiritual growth and develop Christian character.
