Turning Point Recovery Alternative

Turning Point Recovery is a Christ-centered, alternative 12 step Recovery Program utilizing sponsorship, mentorships, and incentives found in similar traditional programs.

TPR is designed to meet the needs of believers and those seeking to know Christ, whether they are struggling with Alcohol, Drugs, Divorce, Eating Disorders or any other life challenges. The program is open to all. Our program is solution oriented and is based roughly on a traditional 12 step study program which applies the 8 Biblical principles taught in the Beatitudes.

We believe in the wisdom of the 12 step philosophy that encourages individuals to admit powerlessness, trust In God, decide to change, then focus on making those changes in our lives. Our goal is to accomplish this through lectures on each of the steps, through study groups, fellowship meal gatherings, Praise & Worship, and men’s & women’s small group share time.

We encourage participants to recognize that a loving God and compassionate Savior are realistically available to each of us. We are all in need of love and forgiveness.  We also encourage participants to restore family relationships while renewing or forming a relationship with Christ.

Hurts are shared, needs are met, Jesus is invited into our lives, and a spiritual awakening is sought.  Our volunteer leaders are knowledgeable in applying these Biblical principals in relevant ways and assisting people in their Christian Walks of Faith.

We meet twice per month on the first and third Tuesday evenings from 6:30pm to 8:30pm and also every 5th Friday at 7:00pm for fellowship.

On the first Tuesday of each month, we have a community style fellowship with food or snacks followed by short praise and worship.  We then have a guest speaker, usually a recovery oriented informative talk involving the 12 step concepts, encouraging attendees to have hope and believe in themselves and a loving Father in Heaven who is on our recovery team.

The third Tuesday of each month, we have community style fellowship meal/snacks followed again by a short period of praise and worship, and then by a 12 step recovery meeting led by a staff member.

Our services do not stop there. Bible Study challenges participants to seek deeper knowledge and understanding of God’s Word while also increasing their own trust in a loving God who wants to be a part of our lives. For those looking for a Church home, we recommend our faith family highly as a friendly accepting place to belong.

Referrals to qualified Counselors are available.
Recommendations for traditional AA or NA groups are also available.
