Guests – If you plan to worship with us for the first time, please stop by the Well Café for a complementary pastry and a cup of coffee.
The Well kiosk (2nd floor) – If you only need a quick cup of coffee before class, we also provide the Well kiosk located on the 2nd floor landing before entering the Adult Education wing. The kiosk also provides the opportunity for various groups to serve coffee and collect donations for their mission trips, community events or ministry fundraising. (Contact the Well manager for information on how your group can participate.)
White Rock Coffee has selected a specially roasted brand of coffee beans for the 3 different coffees that are offered in The Well Café.
Dark – Costa Rica, Tarrazu – sweet and spicy, medium to bold body. This tangy, bright coffee has a balanced coffee profile. It comes from Costa Rica Tarrazu – Diamante. This coffee comes from the valley of Santa Maria Dota in the Tarrazu region. The beans are fairly small, and produce a coffee of exceptional density and heavy body. A unique coffee with a deep, sweet dark chocolate flavor unlike other Costa Rican coffees. (Direct Trade, which means we deal directly with the farm. Most are small lot farms that we have been working with for a long period of time.)
Medium – Colombia, Huila Supremo – medium to heavy body with notes of plum in the acidity, caramel and nuts coat the aftertaste. This blend comes from Huila in southeastern Colombia, growing at an elevation of 1500 to 1900 meters on a lush steep mountainside under a 90% shade canopy. An artful blend of Direct Trade Guatemalan, Brazilian and Colombian coffee makes this a medium body, very balanced, people pleasing cup. Many folks that don’t like coffee will love this blend.
Decaf – White Rock House Blend Swiss Water Decaf – light body, nutty, refreshing brightness. This White Rock signature blend uses only the Swiss Water method, which is a 100% chemical free decaffeination process, a blend of three Central and South American coffees. (Swiss Water processed coffee in which only water is used in the decaffeination process, thus no harmful chemicals)
Volunteer opportunities – We are always looking for volunteers to help us serve up a cup of coffee and a smile! Contact Steve Elliott, the Well Café Manager. Training is provided.
