What is a sermon podcast?
The podcasts is the recorded audio of the weekly sermon. If you miss a week, you can still enjoy the sermon. If you were here on Sunday, you may want to listen to the sermon again to better understand the lesson.
When you subscribe to a podcast using the Podcasts app for iOS, or using iTunes on your Mac or PC, you are subscribing to the weekly podcast updates which have the sermon for that week.
How can I get started with podcasts on my iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch?
There are several apps that allow you to subscribe to a podcast. An easy to use and free app is the Podcasts app for iOS which comes on the iPhone. This app provides easy access to popular and featured podcasts using the navigation icons at the bottom of the app.
To find the sermon podcast for Highland Oaks, simply start the Podcast app, use the “Search” at the bottom of the screen, and enter “Pat Bills”. The search will return recent podcast episodes (sermons). If you want to listen to a single recent sermon, you can simply select one.
But, if you would like to subscribe, select the podcast at the bottom of the screen. This will give you the opprtunity to “Subscribe” to the Highland Oaks and Pat Bills podcast.
To play a sermon audio, simply tap on any sermon episode. The Podcast app will let you manage your subscriptions and play the podcast episodes. To learn more about podcasts, please visit the Apple website.
Once you have subscribed to the Highland Oaks podcast, you can listen to the sermon at any time and any where you would like to hear the weekly sermon. I’m sure you would encourage Pat by letting him know that you’re listening.
