Betsy Stratton has been on staff at HOCC since 2008. In September of 2016, she made the move from Student Ministry to the newly developed role of Community Life Minister. The Lord has fostered in Betsy a love for community over the past several years, and in this new role, she will be working to enhance the experience that guests and members have within our church body. Betsy misses her family of origin, who live in Kentucky and North Carolina, but loves her life in Dallas which is filled with great friendships to cherish, sports teams to enjoy, restaurants to try, art to experience, and of course, her adorable Australian Shepherd, Oakley, to love.
Betsy graduated from Harding University with a B.A. in Youth and Family Ministry. She moved to Dallas in January 2008 and likes to spend her spare time with friends and family. Betsy is also a photographer and particularly loves taking pictures of couples, families, and events. Betsy says of her position at Highland Oaks “God has truly blessed me by providing such a great place to be involved in His ministry. I pray that Jesus shines through me to everyone I encounter here.”
