Caring and Sharing Mission Statement: To serve God by serving others.

How We Serve:

Caring & Sharing is a multi-faceted ministry that seeks to respond to the short-term needs of emergency food, clothing and other physical necessities, while offering hope, encouragement, financial counseling, and information to assist in finding long-term solutions.  In addition, a school supply drive in August and a Holiday Toy program in November and December meet the specific needs of children in our community.

The ministry also provides financial support to institutions that serve children, the elderly, and adults who need the skills to transform their lives.

Who We Serve:

This ministry serves both Highland Oaks members and those within the community who live in zip codes 75238 and 75243.  Those we assist usually have experienced some sort of loss, whether that be the loss of a job, loss of health, or loss of a spouse or family member. We strive to meet immediate physical needs while providing comfort and emotional and spiritual support.

How to Volunteer:

Call the Caring & Sharing office Monday-Thursday afternoon during office hours or come by for a tour. There are volunteer opportunities on an ongoing basis or as a one-time or short-term service project for an individual or a group.

In our pursuit of the heart of God, we also reach into our own hearts. Caring & Sharing is about bringing servants, each with his or her own spiritual gifts and life experiences, to the aid of those in need.  For many of those who come to us, our outreach is their first step in learning about the love of God.
