| A Fresh Encounter |
| Worship Center Enhancement |
|
|
Our
current Worship Center has served us well over the years. However,
sound, lighting, and media limitations keep some from seeing, hearing,
and experiencing what takes place in worship. Upon completion, Highland
Oaks' beautifully remodeled 2,000 seat worship center will be equipped
with state-of-the-art sound, lighting, and media. A new baptistry
will grace the stage area. Lifting up the core value of Communion
with God, we believe that this important part of Imagine
will equip us to change lives by facilitating inspiring worship,
prayer, communion, Spirit-led preaching, and a more welcoming environment
for those seeking God. |

| Venues for Hospitality
and Fellowship |
|
Imagine
will create numerous new spaces for people to experience the joy
of life together in Christ. The new Cafe will provide needed fellowship
space, along with coffee and light food items. The adjacent Resource
Center will provide various resources for spiritual growth. In addition,
the new Hospitality Center will provide a place for those seeking
more information about a walk with Jesus or about the Highland Oaks
church. New outdoor
terraces will provide beautiful and serene environments for both
spiritual reflection and fellowship. Lifting up the core value of
Authentic Community, these new spaces will provide richer,
more intimate environments for people to gather and share life in
Christ. |

| Church Beautification,
Signage, and Repair |
 |
Each year, Highland
Oaks opens its arms to tens of thousands of people without a church
home. New signs on Walnut Hill Lane and LBJ Freeway will heighten
the visibility of Highland Oaks to the community. New trees, flowers,
shrubs, and grasses will provide an atmosphere of beauty and peace
for those visiting Highland Oaks. This demonstration of hospitality
is but one way we hope to lift up the value of Relational Outreach. |

| Initial
Design of "The River" Youth Center |
 |
Nearly two years
ago, Highland Oaks' Student Ministry grew to the point that the
current student ministry center could not adequately accommodate
the number of young people the Lord was sending our way. Since that
time, Senior High School students have been meeting in temporary
quarters in the Adult Eduction wing. We are taking steps to allow
for continued growth and flourishing of Student Ministry at Highland
Oaks. Thus, the design of Highland Oaks' new Student Ministry Center,
The River, is a part of the Imagine campaign. |
