| Is Online Giving secure? |
| Yes. All of your data is secured by Secure Socket Layer (SSL) encryption, a common security protocol that provides communication privacy over the Internet. As always, when handling any transactions online, be sure to close your browser window when you complete your transactions. This will prevent any users after you from using your login on hocc.org. |
| I clicked Online Giving and nothing happens? |
| When you click Online Giving, a new browser window is opened. If you are using a pop-up blocker the window will not open. Most tools will allow you to permit pop-ups on a specific web site. In order to use the Online Giving, you will need to allow pop-ups within hocc.org. |
| When would this automatic contribution be charged to my account? |
| On the signup screens, you can specify whether you want your contribution made one time, weekly, twice per month, monthly, quarterly, or yearly. You can set up as many schedules as you would like, so it is possible to give a monthly gift as well as a weekly one. |
| Can I test this by giving one time? |
| Yes. You may test Online Giving by selecting “One Time” in the frequency drop down box of the signup process. |
| How can I keep a record of the amount I have contributed? |
| At any time you can view your record of online giving by viewing the Contribution History box. This will provide each contribution you made, when you made it, and a year-to-date total. We also send year end statements directly to your home address. |
| How do I change or delete a scheduled contribution? |
| You can edit or delete a scheduled contribution at any time by clicking on the appropriate button next to the scheduled transaction. |
| I received an error message stating that my transaction was unsuccessful, what do I do? |
| In the event of an unsuccessful transaction, please log in to your account and insure that the correct information was entered. If you continue to have problems, please contact technical support at 214-342-6075. |
