You are encouraged to volunteer to work one quarter of the year at a time in the Children’s wing. It is a wonderful way to connect with other parents, to meet the children that are developing relationships with your child, and to serve in a ministry that is committed to partnering with you in the spiritual formation of your child. There are many ways to serve.
For the safety of our children, all potential volunteers must first fill out the Volunteer Form, which includes permission to conduct a criminal background check. This is followed by an interview by one of our Children’s Ministers to ensure that volunteers are placed in an area of service appropriate to their gifts and abilities.
If you are interested in making a difference in the life of a child, there are several ways to serve in the Children’s Ministry that include opportunities as a Bible class teacher or helper, Preschool Praise team, Nursery teacher or helper, and helping with the activities we host throughout the year.
Please contact Marla Finley to find out about volunteer opportunities.
The Sunday prior to beginning your quarter of service, you are encouraged to observe the worker serving in that position to familiarize yourself with our families, the role for which you are volunteering, any changes in duties since the last time you served, and your fellow teammates. Serving in the Children’s Ministry is highly rewarding and an outstanding way to participate in our church community.
