Our Shepherds
 
The term "elder" at HOCC is not so much a designation of age as it is one of experience. An "elder" (or spiritual shepherd) refers to a man who has proven through life experiences to embody the attributes and qualities of godly spiritual leadership. They are "older" in experience and spiritual wisdom and serve this faith community with wise counsel, spiritual support, encouragement, moral accountability and prayer. These are some of the first people you can confidently call when your life journey gets tough. If you need someone to lean on or to help share a burden, an "shepherd" is there to help.
