With a heart and passion for God that is contagious, he seeks to be led by the Spirit of God and is committed to practicing the Spiritual Disciplines. Tim is gifted in preaching, with a strong emphasis on communicating God’s word in a way that is both challenging and relevant. Tim is best known for drawing applications out of difficult texts and presenting them in an engaging way.
 
He loves to golf, read, and spend time with his wife, Emily, and their daughters, Anna and Olivia. Tim joined the Highland Oaks staff in October 2002. He
holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Religion, aMasters of Science degree in Ministry, and a Masters of Divinity degree from Pepperdine University. He is currently pursuing a Doctor of Ministry degree from Abilene Christian University. Tim's blog can be found at www.timspivey.com.
